The Happiest Place On Earth

Brandon finished his first rotation (12 weeks of Internal Medicine)
on Friday and then we were off to our Disney vacation!

Friday night we went to Downtown Disney, walked
around, and had some dinner.
We met up with some of our friends that were also there,
Here is Mckya and Addyson meeting for the first time!
They were so cute together!
After dinner we walked around the shops, and
tried on some silly hats. Addyson wanted to buy
every single stuffed animal in every single store
(I'm afraid we have a hoarder on our hands!)
Then it was off to bed so we could get up early to
go to the park!

We made it!
Here are the girls in front of the castle.
Here we are waiting in line for the
Haunted Mansion
Brandon and Ad in front of The Haunted Mansion
On Dumbo!! She loved it!
On the carousel
Mr Toad's Wild Ride.
Ad loved all of the rides where she could "drive"
Luckily we still have 15 years until we
really have to worry about that!

On the teacups!
We met Snow White,
Belle,
went for a ride in Goofy's car,
said hello to Minnie,
then enjoyed some tea in her kitchen,
and then we met MICKEY MOUSE!
Addyson LOVED Mickey,
they played, they laughed, and they high-fived!
They are best friends!

Here we are on the Buzz Lightyear ride
And to end our day we watched the Fantasmic show,
what better way to end the day than by sitting on
your Daddy's shoulders to watch Mickey!!
Then we headed back to the hotel with all of
our Minnie and Mickey paraphernalia in tow.
It was so fun to see Addyson taking everything in,
and loving every minute of it!
Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth!!
I'm already planning our trip for next year!

The next day we headed to Newport Beach to
play in the sand and water.
The water was FREEZING, so we didn't get all the way in
Ad played in the sand,
splashed in the water,
and then was ready for a nap, so we called it a day,
loaded up, and headed home!
It was the best family vacation ever!

Tourists in Our Own City

One of my best friends from Georgia came to visit us
this past weekend. We had lots of fun showing her
"Sin City". Here's a little of what we did.

First we hit up the famous Vegas sign!
Brandon has lived in Vegas since he was 7 and this
was his first time taking a pic with the sign!
Heading to the strip in style!!
We went to M&M World.
Addyson was not so sure about having her
picture taken with the M&M (which was a
nice heads up for our trip to Disneyland this weekend!)
Walking around on the strip.
Is it just me or does she look like she's 12?!?
Ok, maybe not 12, but my baby is not much of
a baby anymore!!

Checking out the fishies at Caesar's Palace.
Watching the fountains at the Bellagio.
Who needs a stroller when you have Daddy's
shoulders to sit on!
Brandon, Kristin, Addyson, and Nicole.
Crazy baby, crazy hair, and past
her bedtime!!
We had so much fun showing Nicole around and letting
Addyson see the fun stuff too. She loved all of the lights!
Nicole was the first of hopefully many visitors.
Who's next?!

A Weekend in Boulder

Addyson and I went on a spontaneous trip to Boulder
last weekend to visit my brother and sister!
We couldn't resist a $60 plane ticket and the chance
to see most of my fam!! (My parents and brother also came)

The weather was AMAZING!
On Thursday we headed down to the creek.
She loved watching the water, and wanted
to jump right in!
Walking over the bridge.
Chasing the ducks.
On Friday we headed to Pearl Street for
some shopping and some dinner.
Here is Ad riding a snail!
Playing at the toy store.
And out to dinner.
Ad loved reading books with Uncle Benjamin.
And loved playing with toys with Grandad.
On Saturday we went to the farmer's market.
Cameron, Katie, Me, Em, and Benjamin.
Then we went to Red Rocks for the Avett Brothers concert.
Me and my girl
The Avett Brothers performing, look at that view!!!
Ad, enjoying her first concert.
The girls
The Boys
It was a quick but fun trip! Ad was spoiled with
attention and loved every second of it!
I enjoyed seeing my fam, and LOVED the nice weather!
