Pillow Publicity

I made this little lady today during nap time and listed it on Etsy.
Another blogger was impressed so they decided to blog about it on their blog.
Check it out!
I'd like to thank my Mom for teaching me how to sew a ruffle.
And for Addyson and Jadan for taking long naps!

things that make you say eww!

So this past week was pretty uneventful, but nonetheless there is still a need for a blog post.
Let me tell you about some of the lovely things my almost 8 month did this week.
As most of you know I watch another little boy 3 days a week (he is 1 month younger than A). It's pretty crazy and especially now that they both can move.
The other day I was feeding Jadan and Addyson was scooching around on the floor, I looked over and she was licking the floor, eww! So I got up to tell her to stop and it turns out she wasn't just licking the floor, she was licking her own spit up off of the floor. eww!

The next day the babies were on the rug playing so I went upstairs to put the laundry away. I came back down and didn't see miss A anywhere, I figured she had wiggled her way into the kitchen, nope. So I thought she was under the table, nope. Turns out she found this guy in his cage and wanted to climb in. Not that eww, but just wait.
So the next day while I was feeding Jadan, this little girl of mine wiggled her way back over to see her puppy. I didn't mind, sure she'd get a little furry but I'm getting used to lint rolling her off every time I pick her up. So she's just hanging out half inside the cage when I look over and find her eating Tche's raw hide. EWW! I almost wanted to wash her mouth out with soap I was so grossed out!

So that brings us to our next eww moment. When I went in to get her from her nap yesterday this is what I walked into. (Please click to enlarge picture for the full effect!)
eww!! How can something so small have so many boogers?
This booger thing has been going on for 2 weeks now and I'm pretty sick of it.
She screams, and wiggles and kicks when I try to get rid of them.
And just some friendly advice for everyone else out there, wipe your babies nose off before you go into the store because if you wait and do it inside the store, and she starts SCREAMING you are going to get dirty looks from people you've never met (learned that one the hard way!)

And I wonder why she's been sick for 2 weeks?
Maybe it has something to do with the floor licking?
dog toy chewing?
shopping cart licking? (oh did I mention that one?)
All I have to say is... EWW!

A sneak peek at our house!

Here is Addyson's nursery!
It's so nice for her to have her own space and it will be even nicer in a year or so when she has tons of toys. I got a chair for her room ($10 on CL) I planned on getting a white slipcover for it but it turns out they don't fit! So I'm keeping my eye out for another great deal, but it works for now! We spend lots of time in here now, reading, playing, crawling...
it's definitely my favorite room in the house!
Here's her crib and shell chandelier!
And her window seat!
I made the valance to match her crib skirt
and also made the new linen with doily pillows
like them? You can buy them at my Etsy shop!
eventually I will make a cushion for her window seat, but for now her room is complete!
Here is our bedroom.
it's simple, clean, and peaceful.
NO toys, diapers, or baby stuff allowed!
This is the headboard I made a while back.
Oh yeah, and those are fresh flowers my hubby brought home for me!
Hope you enjoyed your tour so far.
Stay tuned for the office, living, and dining room tour.

this week

This week, A has discovered her crib is actually a jungle gym!
The crib bumper is really a hurdle,
the bars are for pull ups,
and it's really fun to see how many limbs you can fit through the slats!
This week, A has learned that if you lay on your belly in the tub
you can drink all the water you want!
This week, A's tooth is poking out!
click on the pic to enlarge it, can you see it?!
This week, Daddy had to study LOTS!
So A decided to help relieve the stress by giving some back rubs!
And, this week, A learned how to move. I don't mean wiggle or roll over, I mean she chases me around the house! She hasn't figured out the crawling thing, but she drags herself around with those little arms. Some days she's faster than others, and she get's tired after a few minutes, but here it is!

Labor Day Weekend

We went up to Utah for Labor Day weekend with some friends. We had lots of fun and are so lucky to have such great friends!
Waiting for everyone up at the cabin, it was so nice outside!
We went to Park City for some Alpine Slide action!
Last time Brandon rode it he flipped off and had to walk the rest of the way down, so I was glad to see him come down on his sled!
At the soccer game! Nicole came!
Fam!
All of our friends!
Me and A, getting ready for the game to start.
THE Landon Donovan.
I'm not sure who has a bigger crush on him, me or Brandon
He's awesome and assisted in both goals!
We won!!
The Radmall's
Addyson is obsessed with the flag!
We had a good time, but we are officially sick of driving! Our goal is no more trips until 2010, we need a break and so does our car!

Will the real Addyson Sage please stand up?

Miss Addyson thought it would be funny, to pull herself up in her crib last week. Brandon and I were both there to witness it, and couldn't believe it! She is WAY too little to be doing things like that, right?!
She was obviously very proud of herself!
and just because she is so cute, here is another recent pic.
I just love getting her up from her naps these days,
she is so happy to see me!
have you checked out my other blog recently?
I have been busy with projects, and still have more to come!

State Fair

I convinced Brandon to take his girls to the fair last week, and I am so glad I did! I got a break from packing, Brandon got a break from studying, and we had lots of fun!

Here is Miss A, I think she was trying to take it all in. There were lots of people, lots of things to see, and it was noisy... she wasn't so sure about it.
And she wasn't quite sure what to think about this camel, but the camel sure liked her!
Checking out the hens, roosters, ducks, and rabbits with Dad.
and the cows

We had a fun night seeing everything, maybe next year we will take A on one of the rides. The best part of the fair was the funnel cake, YUM (that's the real reason I wanted to go!)

Stay tuned for pics of our new place!
I just finished picking some apples from our apple tree!
