Our Thanksgiving

The Peterson's came for Thanksgiving and Siera and I made our very first Thanksgiving dinner together!  We were both pretty nervous, but we pulled it off!  We had enough food for about 8 people, and we enjoyed it all!  Our husbands were very impressed and their lack of talking during dinner made it obvious that they were enjoying their food!

My best friend Siera and her husband are coming to visit for Thanksgiving!  I haven't seen them in almost 4 months, and Brandon hasn't seen them in almost a year!  That might not seem like a long time, but for us it is (since we used to live together!)  I am so excited to see them and spend some time with them! I LOVE the Peterson's!

Today Brandon turned 26!

Brandon had an entire weekend devoted to celebrating his birthday(why celebrate just 1 day when you can stretch it out over 3?)  On Friday night we went out to dinner just the two of us and celebrated with a date night.  On Saturday we had a birthday party with some friends and watched the Utah/BYU game, and Brandon's birthday wishes came true... GO UTES!!  And on Sunday (the actual Birthday) Brandon woke up to his favorite breakfast of crepes and also enjoyed his favorite dinner of roast and mashed potatoes and a home made cheesecake for dessert... it was a great weekend!

Brandon and I are throwing a big bash for the game, and with Utah's undefeated season we are pretty sure we have got it in the bag this year!  Hopefully our Utes won't let us down!  Brandon's birthday is on Sunday, so I am going to let him blow out his candles early and make his birthday wish (for Utah to win, obviously!)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Brandon and I wanted to somehow incorporate my pregnancy into our halloween costumes so of course we were Juno and Paully Bleaker.  And for all of you that have been bugging me to see my belly (you know who you are) here it is!  I was pushing it out a little bit, but I wanted to make sure I lived up to my costume!

Brandon and I decided to join in on the Wolf Pack pride and go to the UNR vs. Utah State game, the weather was amazing, the game was ok, but we just had fun spending some time together!

I LOVE CARAMEL APPLES!  They are probably one of my favorite little treats so Brandon and I decided to make some home made yumminess!  I made a Reece's one and Brandon decided on Oreo... YUM!

My Weekend Project

So I found this picture in a magazine and thought it was such a cute idea, to put shutters on the inside of a window.  We have a few awkward windows in our apartment and one in particular that is just a pass through from the kitchen to the living room, so I thought it would be the perfect spot to try this fun idea.  I went to an antique store and found a set of shutters for a whopping $4 and then bought some paint.  Here is how it turned out, I love it!

Trip to San Fran

I got to go to San Francisco for a few days to visit my best friend while Brandon was busy starting Medical School.  Siera and I had a blast!

It's A Girl!

That's right... we are having a girl! She will be arriving sometime late January/early February.  We have already learned that she is quite a little stubborn one, it took the nurse forever to find a clear shot so we could tell what she was.  She kept crossing her legs, she is so lady like already! Brandon and I are thrilled!

Life in Reno

We are now in Reno and enjoying life. Brandon has started medical school, and I have been busy getting our apartment set up.  The weather here is amazing, and Lake Tahoe is close and beautiful.  So far we are big fans!
