Carolina Beach

We made it to the beach and it was

AMAZING.

The weather was perfect, the water was a little

chilly, and Addyson loved every second of it!

We buried her in the sand,

I still can't believe she let us!

Getting ready for fireworks on our last night.

We had a wonderful time, it was so

nice to go on a vacation!

We went bowling, played tennis, and golf

(on the wii, haha)

rode bikes, went swimming, watched lots of soccer,

ate good food, and had a lot of fun just spending time

with our family! Oh how I miss the east coast!

Georgia On My Mind

I was also able to go to Stirling's wedding.

We were BEST friends when we were 10,

and the last time I saw her was at my wedding.

It was so good to see her, and the wedding was

absolutely beautiful!

Gone to the Beach

We are heading to Georgia for a few days,

then off to relax and play in the sun on the North

Carolina Coast! Try not to miss us too much!

Vegas

Well I've been busy for the last nine days

unpacking, feeling sorry for myself,

and keeping up with a crazy toddler.

But now that the unpacking is pretty much done

and I am done feeling sorry for myself,

I decided to finally post!

(I'm still busy keeping up with a crazy toddler!)

Addyson and I decided to venture out to a

park last week. It was 100 degrees so I decided

to take her to a park with a splash pad, well...

she was not at all interested in the splash pad

so we played at the park and she chased this bird around

She's gaining on it.

Last Friday we went to Krispy Kreme

(one of the perks of Vegas)

It was National Donut Day, so we all

enjoyed free donuts.

It was Addyson's first Krispy Kreme experience,

and boy did she enjoy it!

First she took her time, savoring each bite

Then she just started shoving it in!

I gave her a piece of my chocolate glazed with

sprinkles, and she was a loving it!

(Note: yes my child was wearing her pajamas

and was sporting some nice bed head to Krispy Kreme,

but don't worry, she remembered to put on her

Mardi Gras beads to pull it all together!)

She also had her first maraschino cherry when

we were out to dinner the other night and loved it!!

Our server then brought her out a whole bowl.

I'm so mad this picture is fuzzy, but it was so cute!!

And today we headed up to Boulder City to visit one

of my college roommates, and tried a second

splash park. She still wasn't too interested in playing in

the water, but she did like playing with this giant

water gun!

Oh and here is an after picture of the

chairs I refinished. The picture is really washed out.

But i stained them ebony, and had some of the

wood peeking through, and reupholstered the

cushions with a cream fabric.

So that's what we've been up to!

I will post some pictures of our new place when

I finish getting the pictures hung on the walls.

My official picture hanger aka Brandon has been

a little too busy for things like that, but in 24 hours

he will be on vacation for 2 weeks!!

We Made It.

We made it to Vegas.

We are now hot, exhausted,

and ready for Brandon to be done

studying for this test!

15 more days till we leave for GA,

and then off to the North Carolina beach!

YAY!

Knee Deep in Chairs and Boxes

3 days till moving day!

In the midst of this...

This is the girls UNpacking the boxes that we were

trying to pack. And please believe me when I say

we don't just eat Oreo's, Ramen, and Easy Mac.

I am also refinishing 6 of these...

for a design client.

I thought it would be a quick fix, but turns out

this wood is not easy to strip. Well they are

almost done, and starting to look great.

I hate thinking of titles

Disclaimer: if your husband is studying 12+ hours

a day, and you are busy packing and taking care

of a toddler, not many fun things are being done,

therefore there is no fun documentation!

With that said, here's our cute girl!

She was extra smiley while I was feeding her

lunch the other day, so I decided to snap a pic.

She is looking at me and smiling, too bad

she has macaroni drool on her face!

One of my roommates and best friends from

college was driving back to Utah from San Francisco

and stopped for breakfast. It was so good to see her

and catch up for a few minutes!

I hope we have as many visitors in Las Vegas as

we have since we have been here!

Best $1 I've ever spent.

Every once in a while, when I'm at the dollar store,

I buy Addyson a balloon. It is her favorite toy

for at least a week! So worth my $1!

This is one of the many bunny's that lives in or

around our backyard. This one is Brandon's favorite.

If you enlarge the pic you can see that it does not

have an eye on that side of his face. Poor bunny.
