Adventures in Gum Brushing

So, I decided to clean A's gums the other day, it was the first attempt so I wasn't sure what to expect.  Well, I started to do it and she started to smile SO big!  I think it tickled her mouth or something.  Brandon and I were cracking up because we had never seen her smile so much.  So, I told him to grab the camera and record her, and this is what happened....

So, I don't think that she changed her mind about the brushing, I think that all of the "pushing"  was hurting or something, but anyway we still thought it was funny!  Our silly, dramatic, and inappropriate baby!!!

A's Nursery

So, I know these pictures are way over due(then again so was A herself), but never late than never, right?  So here are a few pics of the nursery.  It's  Pottery Barn crazy in there!
This is A's changing table.  I went with a pink(which you will see in a minute) and sage green color palette(her middle name is Sage after all, so I felt it quite fitting!)
Her cute crib!  Her furniture is by far nicer than ours(sad!)  But then again we plan on using this furniture for all of our kids(if I ever decided to go through that again!)  My Mom sewed the crib skirt for me because I'm picky and couldn't find one that I liked in any store and while she was here waiting for little miss A to arrive we made the pillows.  I plan on making more, but the other fabric we picked out got discontinued!  Anyway, on to the chandelier, the most amazing, beautiful chandelier!  I saw it in a magazine a few years ago and fell in love!  I showed my best friends and sure enough on baby shower day it appeared.  I love the way it looks!
So, I bought this huge canvas and painted it pink and was trying to decide what I wanted to paint on it, I was thinking some abstract flowers or something, but then someone gave me these vinyl letters at one of my showers and I figured it would be perfect!  It came out pretty cute!
This is my favorite accessory in the room.  I found this little rocking horse figurine at an antique shop for $3 or so(it's the same shop where I found my shutters that I showed a few months back).  It was gold, so I used my handy dandy silver spray paint and there you have it. A's Pottery Barn Princess Bedroom!

Spring Break in San Francisco

This past weekend the Radmall family went on our first family vacation.  Brandon had some time off for spring break so we decided to head to San Francisco.  It's only about a 4 hour drive and my best friend and her husband live there so we figured it was the perfect get-a-way.  We had tons of fun and went and saw lots of sites!
First stop: the Exploratorium!  Here they have lots of cool little science experiments but there were TONS of kids there and it smelled like a locker room, but besides that it was fun to mess around with the different things.
Outside the Exploratorium, walking around the Palace of Fine Arts, it was such a nice day!
Addyson slept through most of the trip, but that's probably a good thing because when she wasn't sleeping she did a lot of screaming!
Addyson wearing some SWEET shades, I'm totally going to have to buy her a pair!
Going to the SF MOMA, definitely not as good as the one in New York, but everyone needs a little culture!
Our favorite part of the trip was our bay cruise.  Addyson sleeping... again!
The Golden Gate Bridge
Alcatraz, next time we go Brandon wants to tour it.
We took a stroll down to Ghiradelli Square and enjoyed an amazing hot fudge sundae!
We also went to the Academy of Sciences, it was my favorite of the museums.
Siera and me.
Our plan was to walk across the bridge, but the weather got a little nasty so we drove instead.  We were still able to get some good pictures!
In front of a San Fran trolley!
We had a great trip and are so glad we have such great friends that let us crash at their house!  The trip ended with an exciting drive home... we got lost 3 times trying to get out of the city and then had snow going through the pass.  We had to drive 30mph a lot of the way so our short 4 hour drive turned into 6, but we made it home safely.  Brandon has decided that big cities are fun to visit but he never wants to live in one!

Look How Much I've Grown!

The other day Addyson was wearing the same outfit that she wore home from the hospital and I was noticing that it actually fits her now.  I decided to put her in her car seat and take a picture so I could compare the pics side by side.  I was amazed to see just how much she has grown!  Her head now goes past the brown line and her legs are way longer too!  I can't believe how much she has changed already!

Sisterhood of the Traveling Booties

Two of  my bestest friends and I bought these booties for our friend when she had her baby.  They are so little that they only fit her little boy for a month or two so she decided that she would pass them on to the next one of us that had a baby.  I was the lucky one that got them next.  We plan on passing them throughout the four of us each time someone has a baby and keeping a little journal and photo album with them to note each time they were worn.  Down the road, when we are all having our third or fourth child, it will be so fun to look back and see all of the babies wearing the booties.  Who knows, we might have to replace them at some point of time if they get worn out or dirty, but it's fun to know that this will keep us linked together for the next few years at least! Addyson wore the booties to church yesterday, and even received a few compliments on them! Stefanie, Amber, who is next? They are ready to be passed along!
